Hayley Dixon has the enviable job of being the tequila specialist for Proximo Spirits, which means that she spends her work days spreading the good word about agave spirits — spirits like 1800 Tequila.
Dixon quite rightly believes that tequila is an all occasions drink — and we can think of no finer occasion for tequila than as an accompaniment to a picnic with good mates and good times.
But how best to make the most of a picnic with 1800 Tequila?
“I think simple built drinks are the best, and the more refreshing the better,” Dixon says. You want your drinks to be refreshing, you want some good eats to go with it, and if you want to get fancy you can even bring some proper bar equipment with you to the park.
“Bartenders tend to come along with the full setup,” says Dixon, “so you’ve got your bar spoon for stirring your drinks, your jiggers for measuring things out, your shakers in case you want to make some Margaritas.”
