In front of a packed house at Centro 86 in the heart of Sydney’s CBD on Monday night, the four national finalists for this year’s #JustAddRHUBI x Mix Haus cocktail competition gathered and served up their drinks to the masses — all the while raising money for a good cause. The funds raised tonight will go to Mix Haus’ efforts to nurture women in the industry, through training, workshops and events.

And the crowd were in the mood for a good cause too, thanks to the drinks coming from the finalists: two Queenslanders, Charlie Hunter (Savile Row) and Alexandra Percy from Sante Cocktail Bar in Toowoomba, along with Perth’s Jac Landmark (Bar Love), and hometown hero Isobel Friel from Caterpillar Club.

Each of the bartenders competed earlier in the day, presenting their drinks to the judges — Mix Haus co-founder Shirley Yeung, Linn Philips-Johansson, RHUBI brand director, and drinks culture expert Emily Wheldon — who scored them on the explanation of the inspiration behind the drink, appearance of the drink, creativity, and taste.

But it was Charlie Hunter and her drink With The Times from Savile Row who took out the top prize on the night, winning $1,000 cash — and one large cheque!

Get a look at the winning recipe below.
