Big ideas, tastings, parties — save the date for the Bartenders’ Weekender this June
It's a three day long weekend for bartenders and drinks professionals, packed with inspiring talks, bar collaborations, parties and events.
Well, this is a novel email for me: I’m writing to share a story that Bars & Clubs published earlier today.

It’s about the upcoming Bartenders’ Weekender that Penny Sippe — the doyen of bar and spirits industry events and founder of Australian Cocktail Month — and I have been working on, and which will take place in Brisbane this June.
Think of it like a three day long weekend for bartenders and drinks professionals, packed with inspiring talks, bar collaborations, parties and events.
The big idea is to encourage bartenders from around Australia to come to Brisbane in June from Sunday 16th to the 18th, to swap stories and exchange ideas and build a better, stronger bar community (and have a great time whilst doing it). I’m excited to see the bars of Brisbane get some time in the spotlight, too — there’s a big, passionate group of bartendery types up there and some very good drinking to be had.
This piece from Andy Young over on Bars & Clubs will give you a good picture of what’s to come, and we’ll have more information on what to expect very soon. In the meantime, do save the dates and schedule some time off work now — we’re going all out to make it a Weekender to remember.
